Maurine was a very active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belen. Her hobby was taking care of her family and her loving personality drew many children to her. Maurine was an extraordinary homemaker, exceptional wife and a loving and devoted mother. She was a very generous person and couldn't say no to anyone who needed her help. She was known to have no animosity toward anyone and that is why people were drawn to her kind and loving nature.
Maurine is survived by her husband of 60 years, John of the family home in Rio Communities; two daughters, Pat and her husband, Gabe Sciumbato, of Leland, Miss., and Vicki and her husband, Michael Crutchfield, of Albuquerque; one grandson, Anthony Sciumbato; and one great-granddaughter, Peyton Sciumbato Jones; two sisters, Margaret and her husband, Ted Tedesco, of Albuquerque, and Dorthia and her husband, Bill Leck, of Canon City, Colo.; and she is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at First Presbyterian of Belen on Monday, Jan. 24, 2005.
Interment at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
