Mrs. Leonard (Mary) Benvenuti of 1131 Center Street, Peru died unexpectedly at 2:50 p.m. Jan. 3 in her home.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru and at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Peru. The Rev. Richard Kolczaski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home with a rosary service at 5 p.m.
She was born in Peru to Frederick H. and Mary Stasiak Mathieson. She married Leonard "Mooney" Benvenutti in Peru. She owned and operated the Luna Nova in Peru and was a member of St. Mary's Church.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. James (Jan) Galas of Peru, Mrs. Michael (Donna) Visione of Peru and Mrs. Craig (Karen) Meyer of Tallahassee, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, George Mathieson of Oglesby and Thomas Mathieson of Peru, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on Feb. 16, 1984, a brother in infancy, and two sisters.
