I. R. Mattingly, 76, law partner of Joe V. Gibson, United States District Attorney in the Northern Federal District, and a magistrate for the past seven years, died following a heart attack. Funeral services were held today at Howesville. Mattingly practiced law in Wood and Wirt counties following his graduation from West Virginia University Law School in 1890.
