Ada was born in Pittsburg, Kentucky on August 4, 1929 to the late John and Mae (Depew) Casteel. She married Frank Mayfield on August 27, 1948 and he preceded her in death on August 20, 1977. In September 1989, she married Wilbur Blummenschein. He preceded her in death on June 21, 1997.
She retired from ITT North Electric, Galion. Ada enjoyed spending time working in her flower garden. She enjoyed visiting and never knew a stranger. Ada was very proud of her family.
She is survived by her four daughters Elizabeth (Phil) Miracle-Cassell, Marion, Deborah (William) Domka, Galion, Kathy Allen, Marion and Karen (John) Price, Richwood, her 13 grandchildren Shawn Miracle, Jim Miracle, Brian Wenninger, Kevin Wenninger, Jeff Wenninger, Tim Wenninger, Rod Geyer, Chad Geyer, Jennifer Field, Candace Hunt, Jessica Green, Amanda Wiley and Ashley Price, her 37 great- grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Mary Frances Mayfield, her great-grandson Dustin Wenninger, her sister Thelma Phillips, her brother Oscar Casteel and her son-in-law Richard “Al” Allen.
