Orpah Maynor Bell, 86, of 61 Willie Road, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at her home on Feb. 28, 2012.

The funeral will be held 3 p.m. Friday at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, the Revs. William Griffin, Gregory Locklear and Manford Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in Oxendine Cemetery on Rennert Road.

Preceding her in death were her parents, John Aaron and Virginia Maynor; her husband, H. Hardie Bill Bell; two sons, Michael Bell and Marcus Anthony Bell; a grandson; a granddaughter; great-granddaughter; seven sisters; and a brother.

She was a beloved mother to Jeanie J. Bell of the home, Linda F. Locklear, Sheila B. Locklear and her husband Jackson, Virginia Emanuel and her husband Gelyn, all of Lumberton, and Betty J. Hunt and her husband Hanson, both of Maxton, Harry Bell and wife Vickie, both of Laurinburg, Jeffrey A. Bell and his life partner Pam Hundley, both of Inman, S.C.; a brother, Howard Maynor of Nevada; a daughter-in-law, Adele Mitchell-Bell of Baltimore. She will also be remembered and loved by 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and also her caregiver, Velisa Maynor.
