Patsy Barber, Bridgeton, died at her home on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012 following six years of declining health. The wife of Rudolph J. "Rudy" Barber, she was born in Robeson County N.C. She was daughter of the late Lacy W. Maynor and Sallie Revels Maynor.

Patsy was a graduate of Pembroke State University in North Carolina where she received a degree in teaching. She then taught at Vineland High School for 36 years.

She was also a well known breeder of Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. She had shown her dogs worldwide. She was a member of the American Kennel Club, South Jersey Kennel Club, and the Texas Kennel Club. Patsy had received many awards for her show dogs which include; the Lifetime Achievement Award for the Chesapeake Bay Retriever Club, Best of Breed at Westminster Kennel Club show, Best in Show at the Philadelphia Kennel Club, and the Kal Kan Award. She also made a national television commercial for Kal Kan.

She is survived by her husband, Rudolph J. "Rudy" Barber and two sisters, Olivia Revels and Frankie Lowry both of Pembroke, NC.

Funeral Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Pembroke, NC. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.
