Jerri Baxter, 48, of Englewood, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017.
A daughter of Jean Maynor and the late Ben Maynor, she was a member of Englewood Church of God. She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Baby Baxter; and her adopted father, Ben Maynor.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Buford Baxter; one son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Samantha Baxter; one daughter, Hailee Baxter; her adopted daughter, Laura Case and her husband, Adam; her mother, Jean Maynor; her birth father and stepmother, Jerry and Lucille Maynor; her birth mother, Diana Harris; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Renee Maynor and David and Amy Maynor; two grandchildren, Wyatt and Bryson; one sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Frank Hart; two half-sisters, Vicki Kesler and Angel Tillema; a half-brother, Sky Harris; and a large, loving extended family.
Jerri loved her patients, loved people and always put others above herself.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Englewood Church of God with Pastor Scott Cardin officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the church at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, and proceed to Hampton Cemetery for the 11 a.m. committal service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the church.
Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah is in charge of arrangements.
