Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethlehem Baptist Church for Nell M. Bynum, 90, Boaz, formerly of Altoona, who died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009. Bros. Wayne White, Jack Redfearn and Bill Barnett will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, near Altoona. Etowah Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Nell loved gospel music and was active in the music ministry at Union Hill Baptist Church for 54 years and a current member of Bethlehem Baptist Church at Smith Institute. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, of Boaz; one granddaughter and a host of nieces and nephews and friends. Special thanks to caregivers at Trinity Medical Center, Birmingham; Marshall Medical Center South; Shepherd's Cove-Marshall County Hospice; and Dr. Russell Robinson. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Ray, Don Morton, Keith Amos, LaVaughn White, Vance Morton and Troy Bellew. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 tonight. The body will lie in state from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Friday.
