Charlene Mae Babcock, 66, of McComb, OH passed away on January 6, 2011 at 3:40 AM at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Bowling Green. She was born on July 19, 1944 in Jackson, MI to Frank and Pauline (Folk) McAlexander; her father is deceased and her mother survives in Findlay. She married Jimmy Lee Babcock on June 1, 1968 and he preceded her in death on February 27, 1989. She is survived by a son, Brian (Jennifer) Babcocok of McComb; two daughters: Elizabeth (Jason) Byrd of McComb and Brenda Metzler of Fremont; a brother, Neil (Diane) McAlexander of Findlay; a half-brother, Gary (Barb) Deerwester of Findlay; two sisters: Karen (John) Fitzpatrick of Findlay and Sharon Costello of Fostoria; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She graduated in 1962 from Findlay High School. She retired in 2006 from Big Lots, as a stock supervisor. Charlene liked to crochet. She also enjoyed making crafts, and spending time with her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 10, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay. Bishop Terry McBeath will be officiating, with burial to follow at Knollcrest Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday, January 9, 2011 from 1:00-4:00 PM at the funeral home.
