Mrs. Clara B. McCracken Benson, 89, of Cameron, W. Va., RD 1, died at 9:40 a.m. Friday, January 1, 1965, after a one-week illness. She was born February 10, 1875, in Aleppo, a daughter of Abraham and Ida Wright McCracken. She married Everett E. Benson, who died 24 years ago.

Mrs. Benson, who lived all her life in the Cameron area, was a member of the Cameron Brethren Church.

Surviving are three daughters; Mrs. Wylie Courtwright, of Cameron, RD 1; Mrs. Alta Antill of Cameron, RD 4; Mrs. John Slonaker, of Cameron; one brother, Jesse L. McCracken, nine great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Three sons are deceased.

Funeral services were held Monday with burial in Sugar Grove Cemetery.---Laura Nelle Poland Mallett
