Mildred A. Benson
Mrs. Mildred A. Benson, 73, of 5 Mechanic St. died at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday in
the Bradford Hospital where she had been admitted Aug. 1.
She was born Aug. 1, 1913 at Home Camp, a daughter of George B. and Dorothy
Smith McCracken. She married Albert Benson, who died Aug 19, 1977.
Mrs. Benson had been employed by the Speer Resistor Corp. and prior to her
retirement had worked at the Bradford Printing Co.
Surviving in addition to her mother of Bradford are three daughters, Mrs.
Mary Jo O'Donohoe of Humble, Texas, Mrs. Lucille Eddy and Mrs. Molly Gorrell,
both of Cyclone; three sons, John Palmiter of Raleigh, N.C., Thomas Palmiter
of St. Charles Mo., Daniel Palmiter of Warren; 13 grandchildren; two great
grandchildren; one brother, Paul McCracken of Bradford; and several nieces and
nephews. She was prceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday at the Hollenbeck Funeral Chapel
where funeral and committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial
will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.

Friday at the Hollenbeck Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. George G. Saylor,
retired Free Methodist minister, officiating. Burial was in McKean Memorial
Park, Lafayette. On Thursday evening, the Hilltop Ladies Auxiliary and the
Cyclone Bunko Club called in a group at the funeral chapel.
