Funeral services for Richard McGauley, 70, a resident of Muncie for forty years and one of the most prominent men of this city, who died at 6 o'clock Thursday morning at his home, 207 East Sixth street, will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at the St. Lawrence Catholic church, with the Reverend Father E.J. Houlihan in charge. Burial will be in Beech Grove cemetery.
Mr. McGauley served as a member of the board of safety under the Tuhey administration and on the park board during the administration of Dr. Rollin H. Bunch. He came to Muncie as claim agent for the Lae Erie and Western railroad company and later became manager of the Grasshopper rolling mills here. During his lifetime he owned a number of business buildings in this city.
Besides the widow, he is survived by a number of nieces residing in Rochester, N.Y., Newark, N.J., Detroit and Erie, Pa.

Muncie, Ind., Nov. 29.--Richard McGauley, 70 years old, a member of the city park board under the administration of Mayor Rollin H. Bunch and one of the most widely acquainted men in the city, died at his home tonight after a lingering illness. He is survived by a widow, Elizabeth. Mr. McGauley had lived her many years and was interested in a number of business enterprises.
