She is survived by her husband, James McGauley of Lake Park; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and Jack Mester of Lake Park and Tammy Jo and Jayme Hughes of Valdosta; two granddaughters, Morgan Mester of Lake Park and Lindsey Jo Hughes of Valdosta; a grandson, Jack Mester, Jr. of Lake Park; two step-sons and their spouses, Kenneth Ray and Diane Petty of Statenville and Jimmy and Debbie McGauley of Lake Park; a step-daughter and her husband, Pamela Lynn and Randall Lane of Lake Park; step-grandchildren, Shain Petty of Statenville, Mandy McGauley, Amber McGauley and Ben McGauley, Jesse Lane all of Lake Park; a sister and brother-in-law, Rita Jane and Bob Sherrod of Tallahassee, Florida; two nephews, John Sherrod and his wife Jessica and son Noah all of Tennessee and Matthew Sherrod of Tallahassee; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Crosby, a granddaughter, Mayson Judith Mester, and a brother, Wade Skeen,
A memorial service will be held at the Jennings Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 4 p.m. with a fellowship to follow the services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to United Hospice.
