SENECA FALLS, N.Y. — Anne McGinnis Kerr, 80, of 7 Carol Ave., Seneca Falls, N.Y., died Sunday, April 22, 2001, at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, N.Y.

She was born in Amherst, Va., on October 6, 1920, the daughter of Charles and Pauline Edwards McGinnis.

She worked for many years at the technical library at NASA Langley Research Center and as librarian at Fort Monroe in Hampton, Va.

Classical music and painting brought great pleasure to her life. Anne was a talented portrait painter and also did exquisite needlework.

She was the beloved wife of William Kerr, and is also survived by two sons, Dr. Randolph Turner and his wife, Louise Fitzpatrick Turner of Blacksburg, Va., and Charles Turner of Poquoson, Va.; two sisters, Martha Lamb and Charlotte Trounson; three grandchildren, Katherine Turner, Will Turner and his wife, Carolyn, and Patrick Turner.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Hill Carter McGinnis, and two sisters, Ella Hanson and Mary Massie.

A funeral service will be held in Seneca Falls, N.Y. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Friday, April 27, in Amherst Cemetery, Amherst, Va.

Expressions of sympathy may be sent to a charity of one's choice.
