MRS. AMMONS' FUNERAL HELD
Services For Prominent Charlotte Woman Held at Bible Presbyterian Church
Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Ann Ammons of Charlotte were conducted yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Bible Presbyterian church with Rev. E. A. Dillard, the pastor, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. J. G. Wilkinson, pastor of Wesley Heights Methodist church. Interment was in Forest Lawn cemetery.
Mrs. Ammons died Wednesday in a local hospital after an illness of several weeks. For many years she had been prominent in local church and Sunday school work and organized the Frances Ann class of Wesley Heights Methodist church, which was named in her honor.
Surviving Mrs. Ammons are her husband, M. T. Ammons of 1709 Kenilworth avenue; six daughters, Mrs. Marie Williams of Washington, D. C., Mrs. Paul Bridges of Columbia, S. C., Mrs. Gordon Gullickson of Fairfax, Va., Mrs. Lacy Lane of Marion, S. C., Mrs. K. M. Norris and Mrs. F. H. Trull of Charlotte; three sons, E. M. Ammons and J. F. Ammons of Charlotte and Thomas Ammons of Richmond, Va.; 13 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
