Polly attended the University of California at Berkeley, CA where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She was an outstanding swimmer and was Montana State Champion for three consecutive years.
Polly was adopted into the Blackfoot Indian Tribe, Browning, MT by Chief Fred Big Top. She was given the name of Segugatictum which means Shining Glacier.
She is preceded in death by her late husband Harvey Black Apperson, Jr. (Ret. USAF) after 54 years of marriage.
Polly moved from Kalispell, MT to Tucson, AZ and subsequently to Prescott, AZ in 2005.
She is survived by her two children Diana "Dicey" Apperson, Prescott, AZ and Harvey B. Apperson III, Littleton, CO; three granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.
Services to be held during the summer 2012 in Great Falls, MT.
