Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Crestwood Memorial Chapel for Mary Louise Kilgore, 89, Lincoln, who died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011. The Rev. Leonard Turner will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral home will direct services.
Mrs. Kilgore was a member of Gadsden Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian faith most of her life. She served as pianist, Sunday School teacher and bookkeeper for the church for several years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubie Dan Kilgore; son, Eddie Mack Kilgore; mother, Mary Etta Trotter; and father, Charlie McNair.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Debra Goode; grandsons, Kent Kilgore (Deborah), Shawn Kelly Kilgore (Kathryn); and stepgrandson, Jeffery Powell (Rachel); nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; former daughter-in-law and caregiver, Pauline Tanner (Rex); former daughter-in-law, Patsy Caygle (Jim); and daughter-in-law, Judy Kilgore.
Pallbearers will be Rex Tanner, Daryl Goode, Terry Kilgore, Chad Kilgore, Wayne Kilgore and Tim Lavender.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Alabama.
Special thanks to Gina Strickland and the staff of Magnolia Place Elder Care, Lincoln.
The family will receive friends today at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of service.
