Born in High Point, NC, she was a daughter of the late Annie Elizabeth Boswell and Fred Ernest McSwain.
Mrs. Donaldson was a member of Berea Friendship United Methodist Church and loved her family. She loved gardening, working crossword puzzles, collecting, and traveling.
She is survived by three daughters, Kathy Swank (Mike), Jane Brannan (David), and Leigh Frere (Jim); five grandchildren, Sarah Ann Mobley, David Brannan (Kelly), Laura Brannan, Elizabeth Frere, and Michael Frere; three great grandchildren, Maya, Gavin, and Samantha; a brother, Van McSwain; a sister, Carolyn Carle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, Mrs. Donaldson was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Sheppard; and a brother, Fred W. McSwain.
