She was born in Hamlet, NC and had lived in New York, Virginia Beach, VA, Chapel Hill, NC and Horry County, SC before moving to Aiken in 1963. She had taught High School in Myrtle Beach, SC and Junior High School when in Aiken, She had also taught for the American University for the Air Force, where she taught English. Mrs. Casper was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Aiken.
Mrs. Casper is survived by her husband, William C. Casper, Aiken; three children, Dorothy and her husband, E. Snow Piver, Wilmington, NC, Edward A. and his wife Betty B. Rusher, Jr., Wilmington, NC and Allen A. and his wife Audrey Both, Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by a brother, G. C. McSwain, Clearwater, FL, five grandchildren, Mary George and her husband Mike, Edward A. Rusher, III, Linda Piver, E. Snow Piver, Jr., and Amanda Both; five great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.
