Ardeth M. Fischetti, Archbald, and formerly of Moscow, died Sunday at Regional Hospital of Scranton after a brief illness. Her husband of 42 years is Patrick F. Fischetti.

Born Dec. 18, 1931, in Scranton, daughter of the late John and Anna Savage Mentz, she was a 1949 graduate of Scranton Technical High School and a graduate of the University of Scranton, obtaining a bachelor's degree in accounting.

Before her retirement in 2011, Ardeth was employed for many years by Snowdon Funeral Homes of Scranton and Moscow. Ardeth was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Scranton, serving her Lord and her church in many extraordinary ways. She was a member of the church's ladies aide, the Braille workers, the church choir, a board member of the Sunday School and Evergreen Cemetery. Ardeth was active with the Immanuel Lutheran Preschool and a valued member of the Lutheran Missionary Women's League.

Ardeth was an avid golfer, and a member and former ladies golf champion at Elmhurst Country Club.

She enjoyed skiing in her earlier days, especially her trips to the western United States.

Also surviving are her niece and nephew; her beloved cousins; a great-nephew; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and many wonderful friends.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Aileen Graff, Audrey Micks and Anne Mentz; her niece, Linda Whitney; and her nephew, Kenneth Micks, in 2016.

A memorial service will be Saturday at noon in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 238 Reese St., Scranton, with the Rev. John Zimmerman, pastor, as officiating clergy. A private committal will be conducted at Evergreen Cemetery, Dickson City.
