*There is another grave with Kenneth's name on it at Walnut Cemetery in Haverhill. His second wife's name is also Norma and her name is on her parent's stone. I believe his first wife's name is Norma Jean and she was called Jean.

Kenneth L. Merrick, 67, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011 at Merrimack Valley Hospital.
A native and lifelong resident of Haverhill, and son of the late Ernest and Lena (Patten) Merrick, he attended local schools and was a 1961 graduate of Haverhill High School.
Mr. Merrick served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a self employed auto mechanic and transmission specialist at his company, Merrick Transmission in Haverhill. He previously worked at E. Merrick & Son's Auto Repair.
Mr. Merrick enjoyed dirt track racing as a spectator sport and was a fan of The World of Outlaws Racing teams.
He was predeceased by his wife, Jean (Chase) Merrick in 1999. Survivors include his wife of nine years, Norma (Welch) (Goss) Merrick; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian K. and Karen Merrick of Sandown, N.H., Kevin M. and Jennifer Merrick of Fremont, N.H.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Sonny and Marilyn Merrick of Atkinson, N.H., Buddy and Constance Merrick of Haverhill; five grandchildren, Jason, Alicia, Nicholas, Sarah and Zachary; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may call on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow, N.H. A service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be held in the spring at Walnut Cemetery in Haverhill.
