Evelyn M. Bankson passed away August 21, 2012 at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital. She was 95 years old and a resident of Cherry Valley. Evelyn was born September 4, 1916 in LaCrosse, Wis. to Henry and Christina (Steenson) Meyers.
Evelyn was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary Elks, Order of the Eastern Star (Nova Star Chapter #319) and Beaumont Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Bankson; and five brothers and four sisters. Evelyn is survived by loving nieces and nephews.
Her interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery. A memorial service is being planned for December. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Fraternal Order of Eagle Cancer Fund, 5200 W. Ramsey, Banning. For future memorial information visit www.wiefelsmortuary.com.
