Dorothy Eva Alspach July 3, 1929 - May 6, 2012

Dorothy Eva Alspach, 82, of Boise, Idaho joined her heavenly family on May 6th, 2012. She was born in Pennsylvania to Eva Mae and William Irvin Miller on July 3rd, 1929.

Following graduation from Cressona High School, she worked as a secretary for the Pottsville Supply Company where she became friends with Florence (Flossie) Alspach who introduced Dorothy to her brother, Edward Elmer Alspach, who became her future husband and partner for 57 yrs. until his death in 2008.

A homemaker by choice, she became an accomplished seamstress, gardener, and fabulous cook whose recipes are enjoyed by family and friends. Her lifelong pleasures were dancing, music, hiking, crafts, and reading.

She will most be remembered by her family as a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Pam Blanco (Cruz), Craig, Kevin and Brian Alspach (Cynthia); grandchildren, Troy, Stephanie, Kevin Jr., Ryan, Sean, Jadyn and Chase; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Douglas (Allen); and brother, Donald Miller (Betty Lehman).

Services will be held at the Idaho State Veteran's Cemetery at 2:00pm, Friday May 18th, 2012.

Gone from our sight but not forgotten, another star is added to our heavenly sky as she becomes our newest angel. We do not say good-bye, rather we say she is lovingly held in our hearts until we meet again…your devoted family.
