Debra "Dee Dee" A. (Miller) Brothers, 58, of Clay City, passed away on Jan. 8, 2016, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Dee Dee was born Jan. 12, 1957, in Clay County, the daughter of Loretta Miller and the late Russell B. Miller Sr. She graduated from Clay City High School in 1975. Dee Dee married Jerry L. Brothers on March 22, 2008. He preceded her in passing on Sept. 13, 2014. She had worked at Indiana State University as an information services supervisor. Dee Dee and Jerry attended Clay City First United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her mother, Loretta Miller; siblings, Lana Reed ( Jeff), Lora Alsip (Gary), Russ Miller (Lori) and Amy Barnhart (Nick); nephew, Eric Alsip; nieces, Jennifer Elstro (Mark), Emily Hauser (Sean), Stephanie Granger (fiancé Joel Bragg), Sloan Jenkins (Tyler), Abby Tiefel (Jake), Allie Miller, Claire Miller, Lynlee Barnhart and Quincee Barnhart; and brother-in-law, Tim Brothers, as well as extended family and friends.
