Dorothy Miller Forbes, 74, went home to be with her Lord at 4:15 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, 2009 at Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Jasonville. She was born Dec. 23, 1934 in Jasonville to Ethel Hickman and Bertha (Adams) Hickman.

Survivors include, husband Gerald Forbes of Jasonville; daughters and sons-in-law Joy Faught of Jasonville, IN, Kim annd Dave McKinley of Doans, and Janice and Lester Hinton of Newburgh; sons and daughters-in-law Tom and Wanda Miller of Lewis and Tim and Linda Miller of Shelburn; sister Anna Frye of Jasonville; sister-in-law Iris Hickman of Terre Haute; son-in-law Lee Baker of Bloomfield; 15 grandchildren; 26 great Grandchildren; and many many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Arnold Miller; daughter Carolyn Baker; son Donald "Rex" Miller; two grandsons Tony Faught and Joshua Hinton; brothers James and Donald Hickman; and nephew Donnie Frye.

She was a homemaker and had done factory work. She was a faithful member (over 47 years) of Friendly Grove Baptist Church.

Visitation is today (Tuesday) from 4-8 p.m. and noon until the time of service Wednesday, all at the Friendly Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Friendly Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Ricketts.

Arrangements entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Ferguson-Lee Inc., Cox Chapel.

Interment will be at Friendly Grove Cemetery.
