Marjorie's mother died before she was 2, and her father's sister and brother-in-law (Anna Fritz Miller [106084412] and Alfred Miller [106084411]) raised her for him. He remarried, but she stayed with her aunt and uncle until she married about 1836. It appears she was adopted by that aunt and uncle, because she is not only listed as their daughter in 1920 and 1930 census reports, but there is also a state birth report with their name, which would have been created upon adoption
