Frances was the wife of U.S. Army Private Alex Madrid, who served Our country during World War II.

FRANCISQUITA "FRANCES" MIRABAL-MADRID, loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend passed away peacefully at her home on April 14, 2007, at the age of 85 years after a long battle with Alzheimers.

She was born on October 12, 1921 in San Luis, New Mexico to the late Albirio and Lucia Garcia Mirabal. Mrs. Madrid was a devoted and faithful member of San Lorenzo Catholic Church in Clint, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Madrid, brother, Manuel Mirabal and a grandson, Christian Madrid.

Mrs. Madrid is survived by her loving children, Florence "Cooky" Prado and husband, Eduardo and Alex Madrid, Jr. and wife, Lupe; brother, Steve Mirabal and wife, Ramona; sisters, Cyprie Guerra, Lupe Gurule and husband, Tony and Inez Gabaldon and husband, Tony; seven grandchildren, Edith Marie, Miguel Mario, Andrea and husband, Kris, Albirio and wife, Alexis, Alexian, Cristobal and Luana; one great-grandchild, Alexander Madrid.

The Mirabal-Madrid Family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 beginning at 5:00 PM at San Lorenzo Catholic Church in Clint, with recitation of the rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. Funeral Liturgy for Mrs. Mirabal-Madrid will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 12:30 PM at San Lorenzo Catholic Church with Fr. Lopez, officiating. The rite of committal and interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest.

The Mirabal-Madrid Family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Caprock Home Health, Hospice of El Paso, Socorro Ramirez, Marcia Kovar and Ada Mercado, to Mom's Angeles, Zulema Gonzalez and Yolanda Carmona. The Family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimers Association, "Dios Te Bendiga, Be Careful!" Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Martin Funeral Home East, 1460 George Dieter Dr., El Paso, TX 79936.
