Mary Margaret (Eilbacher) Mody was born into eternal life on March 31, 2012.
Mary, the daughter of the late Margaret Guempel Eilbacher and Joseph F. Eilbacher, was predeceased by her husband, Rustom E. Mody, M.D.
Born in Elizabeth, N.J., Mary graduated from Saint Mary of the Assumption High School and Saint Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Saint Elizabeth Hospital, Elizabeth, and Saint Michael's Hospital, Newark, N.J., and later assisted her husband in his medical practice.
She leaves to cherish treasured memories her deeply loved family, special daughter Nina M. and much loved son-in-law, Frank J. Stukey; wonderful son, Gavin E. Mody, and Rustom J. Mody; grandson, Rustom Z. Mody, and daughter-in-law, Diane E. Mody. Also left with loving memories are caring cousins, Robert and Karen Guempel, Richard and Joan Guempel, Diane and John DiStano, Lorraine and Michael Lupio, Beverly and Michael Natale, and her special godson, John Guempel and his wife, Maggie; the Eilbacher family cousins, Joy Eilbacher Luettchau and Leo Eilbacher and their families, and special loving pen-pal, Vanessa Feola. She also is survived by loyal and caring Mody family members, sister-in-law, Anjali Shah and family and the Setna and Mistri families and by her most devoted and ever-loving friends.
A Mass will be celebrated on April 3, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Church, Hillside, N.J. Cremation is private. Mary's family requests that those who wish to honor her memory make a donation to Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity, 168 Sussex Ave., Newark, N.J. 07104, in memory of Mary Mody, or Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN), 5817 Old Leeds Rd., Irondale, Ala. 35210.
