Courdis Kay Grimes, 74 of Nitro passed away October 24, 2016 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington with her family by her side.

Born June 12, 1942 in Clay County, Courdis was a daughter of the late Ernest and Ardith (Williams) Moneypenny. In addition, she was preceded in death by husband Paul Williams; sister, Betty Jo Sigmon and nephew Ricky.

Courdis was a homemaker, prior to that she had worked as a custodian for Kanawha County Schools.

She is survived by; niece, Jo Beth Sigmon; great-nephews and niece, Jason, Jordan and Jacob; her sister, Getstell G. Young and nephew, E.D.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans with Pastor Sandy Burdette officiating. Burial will follow in Clay Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
