Rose A. Moneypenny Deem, 56, of Parkersburg, died Aug. 20, 2009, in Parkersburg.
She was born Feb. 6, 1953, in Parkersburg, the daughter of the late Russell Moneypenny and Audra A. McCown Moneypenny of Tallmadge, Ohio.
Rose had worked at Wal-Mart and as a home health aide. She is survived by her husband, Gary W. Deem; sons, Lee D. Varner (Amanda) of Williamstown and Jeffery A. Varner of Cairo; sisters, Elizabeth Taylor of Gilmer, Texas, Regena Zetts of Tallmadge, Ohio, Jamie Hartness of Virginia Beach, Va., Sandra Clevenger of Harrisville and Michelle Smith of Mt. Victory, Ohio; brothers, Randall Moneypenny of Vandalia, Ohio, Russell Moneypenny of St. Marys, Michael Moneypenny of Frederick, Md., Steven Moneypenny of Gladewater, Texas, Gary Moneypenny of Overton, Texas, and Douglas Moneypenny of Gladewater, Texas; and two grandchildren, Catlin Rose Varner and Trenton Lee Varner.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Denna Kay Varner. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, with the Rev. Steven States officiating.
Burial will follow in the Harrisville IOOF Cemetery.
