Harold Lawrence Moneypenny grew up at 576 Beldon Street in Akron, Ohio. He attended Jackson Elementary School. He was one of five childrens of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Moneypenny.

He was a Private in the U.S. Army, 333rd Infantry Regiment, 84th "Railsplitters" Infantry Division.

He was Killed In Action 6 January 1945 in Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge. Awarded the Purple Heart.
Buried at Chestnut Hill Cemetery Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Nineteen years old at the time of his death.
