Edward H. Moneypenny, 87 found his way to heaven on Aug 24. He was at home with family at his side to say goodbye.

Edward was one of twelve children born to William and Veronica Moneypenny.

He was married for 54 years to his wife, Ruth and together they had seven children. Lois (Bern), Melanie, Sandie (John), Pam (Tim), Ed (Teresa), Leo, Jeff (Mona). He was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren who were delighted by his attention and who gave him such joy.

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was present as they raised the flag at Iwo jima.

Ed was retired from Ford Motor Company but not from life. He loved working in the yard, polishing his cars, visiting his nephews and finding treasures at the Hartville flea market. He was noted for his many one liners; "Thats what my girl said", "Better since I saw you", "Nervous in the service",and perhaps his most famous one of all, the one he used on the dance floor; "Hard Part!" He was a dancer extraordinaire as his granddaughters could attest. They often took him out to show him off and he would never disappoint them, dancing till the lights came on!

He was the best Dad, Gramps, Bubba, brother and Uncle Ed in our world. Dad, we will miss you with all our heart.

The family will receive friends TODAY, from 2-6 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Ralph Thomas on Monday at 10:30 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St. in Akron. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
