Bonifacia was born in San Mateo to Manuel and Vicenta Castillo Montano. She married Samuel Candelaria on January 22, 1917 in Gallup and together had five children; Serafin, Salamon, an un-named stillborn male, Juanita and Nicanora Candelaria. Her siblings are; Polinario, Francisco (Frank), Bernardino, Refugio, Juliana and Alfonzo Montano. Her grandparents were; Juan Apolinario and Anastacsia Chaves Montano and Refugio and Maria Petra del Regalada Marquez Castillo. She passed away in San Mateo at the age of 34.
