Annie V. Aragon, age 88, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas, New Mexico, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2012.
Annie was born on March 25, 1924 in San Miguel, New Mexico to the late Bernardo Montaño and Merenciana Vigil.
Annie was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters in Las Vegas, NM. Annie retired after 37 years of employment as a bookkeeper for Gamble's Store and enjoyed crocheting and baking.
Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Aragón, parents, Bernardo Montaño and Merenciana Vigil, grandson, Kelly Wildenstein and great-grandson, Patrick Lucero.
Annie is survived by her children, Irene Wildenstein and her husband, Rudy of Santa Fé, New Mexico, Gilbert Aragón of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Margaret Aragón of Las Vegas, New Mexico, Theresa Aragón and special friend, Bob Santillanes of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Barbara Montaño of Las Vegas, New Mexico, thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Saint Anthonys Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM.
