Pauline Carey passed away on April 26th, 2010 at a local convalescent home. She was 83 years old.
Pauline was born in Arlberg, Arkansas on December 18th, 1926 to Cleo and Laura Moody. She came to California in the early 1950s where she met and married Tom Carey in Eureka, CA.
In 1960 they moved to Lodi, CA, where they worked together in farm labor contracting and the firewood business.
She had many things she liked to do, playing bingo and taking a few gambling trips to Nevada but most of all she loved being with her family and having them together. She will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Tom Carey; sisters, Beatrice Thompson of Lodi, CA, and Peggy (Wayne) Danforth of Washington; a brother, Hal (Dorothy) Moody of Ohio; a niece, Barbara Gail of Lodi; daughter, Debbie (Wayne) Fazzino of Nevada; sons, grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Laura and Cleo Moody Sr.; and brothers, Cleo Jr. and Billy Moody.
Visitation is Friday, April 30, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Funeral service is Monday, May 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Rocha's Mortuary, 215 School St.
