Life Legacy

Marshall Ross Moore, Sr., 82, of Princeton died Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Lewis Gale Hospital in Salem, VA. Born December 13, 1933 in Lillybrook, WV he was the son of the late Leonard Ray Moore and Carlie Burk Vaught Moore. He attended the Greenbrier Military Academy and was a U.S. Army veteran with the 3rd Armored Division serving during the Korean War. Marshall was retired from Digital Equipment Corporation and had been a resident of Princeton for the past twenty years moving here from Milford, MA. He enjoyed woodworking, painting, watching movies, and was an avid New England Patriots and NASCAR fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Moore; and adopted cousin, Robert Hearn. Survivors include one son, Marshall Ross Moore, Jr. of Fitchburg, MA; one daughter Katherine “Kathy” Ann Tefft of Leominster, MA; three grandchildren, Frank Emma of Leominster, MA, Michelle Marchant of Gardner, MA, and Lara Emma of Leominster, MA; three great grandchildren, Michael Emma, Emily Marchant and Elizabeth Marchant; and special cousin, Suzanne Watts of Salem, VA. In keeping with Marshall’s wishes his body has been donated. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Princeton.
