Cheryl Lynn Boyer, age 52, of Independence, MO, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2003, at Independence Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at Chapel of Memories Funeral Home in Grain Valley, MO. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Grain Valley, MO. She was born July 31, 1950, in Joliet, IL, to Madalyn and Charles Moore. Mrs. Boyer graduated from the University of Missouri School of Nursing and enjoyed a 23-year nursing career and she loved doing needlework and visiting craft shows. She was a member of Blue Springs Christian Church. She is survived by her husband, Gregory Boyer, son of William and Helen Mae Boyer; a son, Andrew John Boyer; her parents, Charles and Madalyn Moore; two brothers, Craig Wayne Moore and wife, Kathy and Kevin Charles Moore and wife, Vickie; five nieces and nephews along with three grand-nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
