Marjorie Marie Brownfield, 90, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away March 17, 2011. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. followed by funeral services at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Marjorie was born November 8, 1920, in Kansas City, MO, to Arthur and Rose Marie Moore. She married James Curtis Brownfield on April 2, 1939. They shared 54 loving years together. Marjorie loved sewing and quilting. She was an avid collector, especially doll collecting. She loved reading, bowling, gardening, and family gatherings around the pool. Her family was her greatest source of joy. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Curtis Brownfield; sisters, Helen Perkins and Kathryn Moore; daughter, Claudia Long; and grandchildren, Sherida Speck and Benjamin Carle. Survivors include her children, Carole Munoz (Louis); Barbara Brownfield; Deborah Carle (William); and James Curtis Brownfield, Jr. (Kristy); 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and sister, Patricia Gardener. The family would like to give a special thanks to Jackie Casey, Tammy Holt, Sonya Draffen, and Therese Button for caring for Majorie with so much love.
