Charles H. Moore
Spartanburg, SC- Charles Moore, 84, husband of the late Patricia Watson Moore, died Sunday, December 8, 2013.
Born June 20, 1929 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, Charles was a son of the late Howard and Audra Moore. He was a proud alumnus of the University of West Virginia, an avid golfer, and loved being a Papa to his grandsons. Charles retired as Technical Director after 39 years of service with Milliken & Company. He was also a member of the Country Club of Spartanburg.
Charles is survived by his son, W. Howard Moore (Phyllis) of Spartanburg, SC; a daughter, Diane Flanagan (Jim) of El Paso, TX; two grandsons, Kevin and Ryan Flanagan; special friends, Margaret Bridges, Susan and Kenny Moore, Daniel Moore, and Glenn Bridges; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he is predeceased by a brother, Claude Moore.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 12th, 6:00-8:00pm at Dunbar Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held Friday, December 13th, 11:00am in the Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Charles H. Horne.
Burial will follow the service in Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Road, Piedmont, SC 29673. The family will be at his home
