Christine Ann (Zurat)Moorhead October 16, 1931 – Sept 7, 2014 After a long battle with cancer, Christine left us peacefully. Survived by her son, Tod Moorhead (Niles) and half brother, Wayne Palmiter (South Bend). Widowed, she was married for 30 years (1954 – 1984) to Leslie Moorhead (Deceased)(1984) A graduate of Washington Clay (SB) 1950, she enjoyed, cheerleading and gymnastics, using her athleticism to win numerous 1st place medals at competitions in Chicago. She was employed at Bill Knapps restaurant (South Bend) for 11 years (1987-98) and built many friendships during those years that still remained strong. Also enjoyed baseball, attending many of her son’s baseball and softball games, where many players came to know her as the “Team Mom”. She was a Hello Gorgeous nominee in 2012 and humbly enjoyed the pampering. Her charisma and kindness was felt towards all who met her, her upbeat and positive attitude was unblemished even during her last days. For all hearts that she touched, she truly was a treasure
