Georgia was born to Ernest and Sally Butler. She married Horace Mattingly on Feb. 23, 1928. He preceded her in death. She later married Albert B. Moorehead. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1959.
One daughter, Edna F. Smith, and one sister also preceded her in death.
Georgia is survived by her son-in-law, Dr. George P. Smith; her granddaughter, Karen L. Hoskins; great-granddaughter, Samantha L. Hoskins and great-great-granddaughter, Sanai N. Sydnor.
When Georgia was younger, she worked as an attendant with an athletic club in St. Paul, Minn.
She was a member and regular attendee at Zion Baptist Church in Peoria.
