"Mary Lou was born in Washington, Ind., Oct. 28, 1926 to the late William and Kate (Covey) Moorehead. In her youth Mary Lou traveled with her parents from state to state who were in the oil field business. She later settled in Tell City and was a graduate of the Tell City High School. She had worked at General Electric and St. Joseph Hospital in Huntingburg for many years. She was a member of Little Pigeon Baptist Church and the Tell City Church of Christ. Mary Lou was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliaries. She was a member of the Democrat Women's Club, Home Economics Club of Chrisney, and the Farm Bureau Women's Club. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bud" Baum; two sons, Bookie Baum and Quentin Baum and a great-granson, Brandon Mayes."
