Joyce Luckeroth

LONGMONT, CO - Joyce Luckeroth went to be with her loved ones in heaven on June 15, 2011.

She was born in Poughkeepsie, New York on December 11, 1933.

She was the daughter of Martha (Whittaker) Morano and Thomas Morano of 131 Garden Street. She attended SFB Morse School and graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in 1953.

She went to work at the IBM High Street facility in February 1953.

She married Philip Martin Diesing on April 18, 1954 (Easter Sunday) and they made their home at 16 Channingville Road in Wappinger Falls, New York.

In September 1966 Joyce and her husband transferred to IBM Boulder and made their home in Longmont, Colorado where they raised their four children. Philip Diesing passed away on October 17, 1985 after a long battle with Cancer. They had 32 wonderful and happy years together.

On February 14, 1987 Joyce married Paul B. Luckeroth and made their home in Greeley, Colorado for 5 years, moving to Loveland in 1992. She and her husband, Paul spent the next 12 years traveling around the country and wintering in Arizona. After 13 years of marriage, Mr. Luckeroth passed away on October 7, 2000.

Joyce served on the Board of Directors for the Glen Meadow Home Owners Association and for 4 years on the Activities Committee. She loved cruising with her high school friends and spending time with her Family.

Joyce Luckeroth is survived by one daughter, three sons, two brothers, 15 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Anna Defraia, three brothers, Anthony, Frederick and Thomas Morano.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Loveland, Colorado. Viewing will be Tuesday 4:30 to 7:30 P.M. with the Rosary beginning at 7:30 P.M. at Viegut Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Johnstown in care of Viegut Funeral Home.
