Anna, 86, of Jackson, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Allegiance Hospice Home. Anna was the daughter of Thomas and Phyllis (DeBiasi) Morano.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Joseph B. Dempski; daughter, Jo Ann Colton; grandson, Tyler Colton (Kelly Dunn); two brothers, Robert Morano and Frank (Gloria) Morano; special niece, Julie Ann Shafley and several other nieces, nephews and cousins; compassionate care giver and special friend Constance Krebes.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, and sister-in-law, Paula Morano. Anna graduated from St. Mary Star of the Sea High School; retired from the State of Michigan as a bookkeeper.

She was a volunteer at W. A. Foote Memorial for many years. Anna was a great Italian cook and seamstress. She enjoyed baby sitting and traveling with her family.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Countryside Grand and the loving care she received at Allegiance Hospice Home.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass was held at the Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church, Tuesday, February 9, Father Timothy MacDonald officiating. Interment was at a later date in St. John's Cemetery.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Anna may be made to Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church, Jackson, MI.
