CONNEAUT — Concetta C. (Connie) Evans, age 72, of Conneaut, Ohio, died peacefully early Wednesday morning, June 4, 2008, in the presence of all of her children, and her granddaughter, Lillian. Born Oct. 9, 1935, in Conneaut, Ohio, she was the daughter of Fred J. and Colleen (Cifelli) Morano, and attended Conneaut High School.She went on to work at the Conneaut Can Company. She drove a cab for the Conneaut Cab Company, and for the past 28 years, worked as a waitress for the Perkins Family Restaurant in Conneaut.Connie was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Church and also a longtime member of Weight Watchers. She enjoyed the slot machines and gambling. She liked to tan and especially loved spending time with her family and friends. Connie enjoyed polka dancing and visiting with people at Perkins, over a cup of coffee. She was especially fond of all of her grandchildren and her late husband, Ted. Survivors include two daughters, Victoria (Vicky) and Robert Sharp, and Nancy and Glenn Henson, all of Conneaut; three sons, Theodore L. and Deborah Evans, Jr. of Jacksonville, N.C., Michael L. Evans of Conneaut, and Anthony L. and Krissi Evans of Conneaut; a brother, William Morano of Pittsburgh, Pa.; eleven grandchildren, Ginny, Zacharay and Alyssa Evans, Lillian and Pearl Sharp, and Emily, Olivia and Jasmine Henson, and Dominic, Lyric, and Phoenix Evans; also surviving are close friends, Rich Berkowitz and Vicky Peak.The family would like to include Connie's extended family from the Perkins Family Restaurant for all of their care and support. Connie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ted in 2002; an infant brother, Fred Morano; and a brother, Joseph Morano in 2007. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 7, 2008, at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 744 Mill St., Conneaut, with Father Raymond Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut.Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 6, at the RAISIAN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut, Ohio.Memorial contributions can be made to Station Three Rescue Squad.
