Bobbie Catherine Avant of Pascagoula passed away peacefully on Saturday Feb.21, 2015. She was born in Morgan Town, MS and has been a long time resident of Pascagoula. As it says in II Corinthians 5:8 “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with The Lord”, we are confident she is present with The Lord.
She was employed by the City of Pascagoula as Personnel Manager and Jackson County Youth Court as a Volunteer Coordinator.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Richmond Morgan, her mother Elsie Gaddis Morgan, brothers Ernest Gaddis, Bill Gaddis, Pevie Gaddis , John Morgan and Hubert Morgan, and one sister, Louise Gaddis Herring.
She is survived by her son Jeff Avant of Pascagoula and her daughter Shauna(Gary) Ladnier of London, England. She leaves 4 grandchildren, Autumn (Brian) Tingle of Houston TX, Heath Ladnier of Atlanta, GA, Jordan (Ryan) Lee of Mobile AL, and Scott Avant Randel of Pascagoula. She also is survived by 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 24th at 10:00 AM at New Covenant Church (formerly Bethel Assembly of God) in Pascagoula, MS. Funeral will follow directly after the visitation and begin at 11:00 AM, with the Reverent Carey Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia, MS with Ryan Lee, Scott Randel, Gary Ladnier, Heath Ladnier, Tommy Kelley and John Earle serving as pallbearers.
