HAZEL BOLLINGER

BRUCE – Hazel Bollinger, 92, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at Calhoun Health Services Hospital in Calhoun City. She was born March 22, 1918, in Bruce. She was the widow of Thomas Watson Bollinger, whom she married in February 1935. She was a homemaker and a member of Parker Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce. The Rev. Paul Morris and the Rev. Billy Hill will officiate. Burial will be in the Bruce Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Sally Ann Bollinger Blount (Joe) of Banner; two sons, Thomas Eugene Bollinger (Emily Dale) of Bruce and Dewey Ray Bollinger (Virginia Spears) of Bruce; one brother, Aldrin Morgan of Jackson; two sisters, Opal Simmons of Portland, Ore., and Jeanette Varner of Jackson; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Vernon Morgan and Sally Tallent Morgan; five brothers, L.Q. Morgan, Leo Morgan, Bryant Morgan, V.H. Morgan Jr. and Howard Morgan; and one sister, Barnette Williams.

Pallbearers will be her six grandsons, Anthony Bollinger, Eddie Bollinger, John Bollinger, Keith Bollinger, Carl Bollinger and Terry Joe Blount.
