Margaret Morrison "Peggy" Stoddard, 73, of Boise, Died Tuesday, Feb.8, 1994, from cancer.

Memorial services will be held at 2 pm Friday, Feb., 11, at the First Presbyterian Church, 10th and State. Reverends Mark Davis and Marianne C Paul, both of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Services are under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, Boise Chapel.

Peggy was born on Jan., 10, 1921, at Long Island, NY, the daughter of Albert and Miriam Morrison. She grew up in New York. Peggy attended Ohio Wesleyan University and graduated in 1941. She worked for the Red Cross and other service organizations before marrying Elmer m "Max" Stoddard in 1943 in Los Angeles. Following World War II they lived in Portland, Ore., and Los Angeles, Calif., before moving to Boise in 1951. Max and Peggy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last August.

Peggy was a warm, gentle, and kind person with a zest for living. She loved to travel, read, play golf and bridge, and she was actively involved in her community.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Hillcrest Country Club, Pi Beta Phi Sorority, the Assistance League of Boise, Chapter A of PEO, Mrs. Jordan's Talk Group, Good Samaritan Auxiliary, Idaho Botanical Garden Society, and the Boise Philharmonic Association. She also belonged to AAUW, PTA, Boise Kindergarten Task Force, and many other similar educational organizations.

She is survived by her husband, Max of Boise; two sons, Doug of San Francisco, and Mike of Boise; daughter Ginny and son-in-law Kevin Thienes of Coeur d'Alene; grandchildren, Michael and Benjamin Thienes of Coeur d'Alene, a sister, Mimi Tellis of Sausalito, Calif., sister-in-law, Ruth Green of Covina, Calif., three nieces; and two nephews.

The family suggests that memorials may be sent to the Mountain States Tumor Institute; 151 E Bannock Street, Boise, Idaho 83712.
