TUSCALOOSA | Gail M. Boozer, age 80, of Tuscaloosa, died June 8, 2014, in Birmingham. Services will be 12 noon Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa, with Dr. Gil McKee and Dr. Hayes Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Henagar, AL with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home and Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Lee Mountain, and her mother, Nina B. Mountain.
Survivors are her husband, Ray M. Boozer; her daughter, Tanya Thompson (Rusty); her sons, Trent Boozer (Suzanne) and Todd Boozer (Joy); her sister, Lynn Germany (Al); her brothers, Rodney Mountain (R'Ella) and Marland Mountain (Elizabeth); and her grandchildren, Ford Boozer, Leslie Boozer, Alex Boozer, and Todd Boozer, Jr.
She was a graduate of Sylvania High School and Jacksonville State University. She had a double major in Music and English. She played piano and organ at South Highlands Baptist Church. She taught school and piano lessons. She loved the Lord. She was a member of Belle Arts Study Club and a devoted wife and mother.
Pallbearers are Tim Boozer, Shawn Boozer, Jay Boozer, Ford Boozer, Alex Boozer, and Todd Boozer, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa.
