Mr. Harry Hurley Moxley, Jr., age 74, of Franklin passed away Tuesday January 31, 2017 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home in Atlanta.

Mr. Moxley was born August 5, 1943 in Franklin to Mary Estelle Pope Gray and the late Harry Hurley Moxley, Sr.

He served his country honorably in the US Army. He was stationed in Hawaii during the Vietnam Era. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a security guard for Cartel Properties.

He had many varied interests. He was a voracious reader, and made many trips to the library. He also enjoyed watching movies. This made him a trivia buff, and he knew a lot about many subjects.

He also did his best to keep himself healthy by going to the gym and running. Martial arts was another of his favorite activities.

Survivors include: his mother, Estelle Gray of Franklin; three sons: Shane Moxley (Sabrina), Rhett Moxley, and Bruce Moxley all of Atlanta; two brothers: Norvel Gray and Anthony Moxley both of Franklin; and a number of other relatives and friends.
